Thousands of visitors travel to this area each year to enjoy the sunshine and explore the abundance of opportunities to go mountain biking. Here are 4 of the best biking trails in St. George, Utah you need to explore:

1. Chuckwalla Biking Trail

The St. George area offers a wide array of trail options that fit the needs of every rider. The best part is that you don’t have to be an experienced rider to enjoy the adventure. There are plenty of beginning level paths that are great for enjoying a nice ride and plenty of marvelous sights. The Chuckwalla Biking Trail is an awesome ride that features just about every terrain that Southern Utah has to offer, from slickrock to a single dirt track. The trail is very rewarding in the end as you will be greeted with sweeping views of Santa Clara and a fast paced descent!

2. Gooseberry Mesa

Gooseberry Mesa is one of the most popular biking areas in St. George. You will meet people from all over the world that are taking the opportunity to ride this remarkable path. Along the journey, you will ride through rolling slickrock, twisty singletracks, and vistas that are to die for! To reach the biking trail, you will take Highway 59 and follow the signs to Gooseberry Mesa. The trail network sits at 5,200 feet in elevation and is intermediate in difficulty because of the uphill path and areas of rocky terrain. However, once you reach the peak, you will find the trek is worth the effort thanks to the stunning view of Zion National Park.

3. Bear Claw Poppy Trail

From first-time riders to seasoned bikers, Bear Claw Poppy offers trails ranging from easy to difficult, making this one of the best biking options in St. George. The bottom half of the trail, starting at Navajo Drive, is rated as easy, while the top is a more difficult riding opportunity. There are plenty of signs along the paths that will lead you to where you want to ride. In total, Bear Claw Poppy covers 7.9 miles roundtrip and it is estimated to take about an hour or two to complete.

4. Anasazi Trail

The Anasazi Trail offers an incredible adventure for bike riders looking for a fun escape. It features some amazing Native American rock carvings, a farm site, and plenty of gorgeous views. The biking path begins along a cliff edge before leveling out onto a singletrack that travels for about a mile. When you begin your journey, you will be at about 3,000 feet in elevation and the ride tops out at around 3,350 feet. In total, the path covers 6.3 miles which is a ride that can be easily completed in just a few hours.
